Although it was never officially confirmed by AMD that desktop Bulldozer parts will launch in September there has been some solid info regarding that date, but now our sources are confirming that there will be no FX parts till mid-October, at earliest.
The good part of the story comes from Xbitlabs.com and according to the news post, there has been some changes regarding the FX Zambezi lineup. According to the info, AMD has expanded the lineup to a total of seven models, four FX-8100 series eight-cores, one FX-6100 six-core and two FX-4100 series quad cores. Of course, the Q1 2012 lineup includes one one of each, FX-8170, FX-6120 and FX-4120.
As far as the delay goes, we have been hearing about it for a last couple of days but now our sources are pretty sure that Bulldozer will not come before mid-October. That is the best case scenario, if all goes well for AMD.
According to what we've heard, there have been five versions of the B2 chip stepping and performance wise Bulldozer doesn't look that good at least not from what are sources are telling us. In any case, there will certainly be more details regarding the FX-Series lineup as we step into the next month.
