IPhone 7 refuses to reconnect after airport mode "holiday"

You get what you pay for

When it is not hissing at customers for making it work, Apple’s new iPhone 7 is using Airplane mode as an excuse for a permanent snooze.

Iphone 7 users are finding that if they snap their expensive toy into airplane mode it refuses to connect to the network again. Apple has told its genius staff that to reconnect the phone to the network again you have to restart your devices, and then to remove and reinsert their SIM card if the problem persists.

Just the sort of thing you want to do after a long flight, just because Apple’s developers historically cannot manage networking, or programming a clock.

The problem is unique to the iPhone 7 as it does not happen on an iPhone 6s. So you only get this “feature” if you are dumb enough to spend more money upgrade to a nearly identical phone because Apple told your life would be better.

Meanwhile the fruity tax dodger has promised to fix a different bug with the the Lightning EarPods that come bundled with the iPhone. Apparently they stop working properly after a few minutes which if you are listening to U2 or Coldplay could be a mercy. Audio continues to play, but the volume control buttons stop working. Apple said on Monday it is working on an upcoming software update to fix the issue. If only they had stuck with the audio jack, they would not have had this particular woe.
