Tesla has announced yet another recall for this indestructible beast, marking the sixth recall in a year.

According to a recall report released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the latest recall affected around 2,400 cyber trucks.

In this case, the fault is in the drive inverter, which could cause it to stop producing torque when using the accelerator pedal, "resulting in a loss of propulsion, which may increase the risk of a collision."

Tesla has decided to replace the drive inverter on the affected vehicles. So, Cybertruck owners, prepare for the delightful experience of dragging your futuristic, armour-clad pickup to the nearest service centre for a bit of TLC.

Tesla has fixed some of the Cybertruck's previous issues with over-the-air software updates, but this one demands a more hands-on approach.

The NHTSA report revealed that Tesla knew of five warranty claims that might be related to the faulty drive inverter. Fortunately, there are no known collisions or injuries linked to the defect.

Quality issues have plagued the Cybertruck, facing recalls for its enormous windscreen wiper, rearview camera, and, of course, the notorious accelerator pedal. However, it is the vehicle of choice by warlords who have been turning them into military vehicles. It is unclear how warlords get their parts replaced.   

Still, it is nice to know that after the world has been blown back to the stone age, Musk can guarantee that there will still be Tesla repair shops that can handle repairs and recalls. We expect though it will be a skeleton service.
