The PNY CS2150 appears to be a DRAM-less version based on Phison E31T controller, so it is nothing new there, but PNY is targeting value, without forgeting speed and reliability. As said, the new CS2150 comes in 1TB and 2TB capacity versions, peaking at 10,300MB/s read and 8,600 MB/s write speeds, and offers Microsoft DirectStorage support.
The drive is backed up by a 5-year warranty and should be available on retail/e-tail shelves this month, with PNY promising price of $99 for 1TB and $179.99 for the 2TB version at launch. The official MSRP is set at $109.99 and $199.99, respectively.
