With Razr 2022 being the foldable smartphone aiming to take on Samsung's latest offering, the X30 Pro and the S30 Pro are standard smartphones with top-notch specifications.
Motorola X30 Pro is the first phone with 200MP camera
The X30 Pro is the latest flagship smartphone from Motorola and actually the first smartphone on the market with a 200-megapixel camera, featuring Samsung's ISOCELL HP1 sensor.
The X30 Pro is built around a 6.7-inch 2400x1080 OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 1250 nits of maximum brightness. As expected, it is powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, paired up with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
As noted, the X30 Pro is the first smartphone on the market with the Samsung 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor, a 1/1.22″ sensor with 16-in-1 pixel binning, and OIS, that sits behind an f/1.95 lens. The sensor is capable of shooting pictures in 12.5MP resolution (16-to-1 binning), 50-megapixels shots, or even 200-megapixel ones, as well as capture video at up to 8K at 30FPS.
The rear camera system also features a 50-megapixel 1/2.76", 0.64µm sensor behind an f/2.2 ultrawide lens with AF, and 12-megapixel 1/2.93", 1.22µm one with PDAF behind an f/1.6 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
The front camera gets a 60-megapixel sensor.
The rest of the specifications for the X30 Pro includes an under-display fingerprint optical sensor, all the usual connectivity options, including WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, stereo speakers, and a 4610mAh battery with 125W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Motorola X30 Pro will be available in black and white color options and should start selling in China as of today, with a price starting at CNY 3,699 ($550) for the 8GB/128GB version.
Motorola S30 Pro goes for Snapdragon 888+ to keep the price down
The Motorola S30 Pro is a rather interesting smartphone as the company has cut down some specifications (compared to the X30 Pro) in order to keep the price down, and went for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888+ SoC.
The S30 Pro features a curved 6.55-inch P-OLED screen with 2400x1800 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+.
The rear camera system is still a triple-module one, but this time around the main sensor is the 50-megapixel Omnivision OV50A, a 1/1.55", 1.0µm sensor with PDAF and OIS, sitting behind an f/1.8 wide lens. The main sensor is backed up by a 13-megapixel 1.12µm one behind an f/2.2 ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 32-megapixel one.
The S30 Pro also gets an under-display fingerprint optical sensor, all the usual connectivity, and a 4,400mAh battery with 68W wired charging.
The price for the S30 Pro starts at CNY 1,999 ($330) for 8GB/128GB and it comes in black and blue color options.
Motorola actually has two decent smartphones with the X30 Pro and S30 Pro. Unfortunately, there is no word on worldwide availability.
