As we draw closer to the end of the year and the upcoming shows like CES in January and MWC in February, we get more and more rumors regarding upcoming flagship smartphones, including the LG Optimus G2.
According to the latest set of rumors, the LG Optimus G2 or the Optimus G II, depending which one LG decides to use, will apparently feature a quad-core Krait CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. The CPU will be paired up with Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM memory. The combination sounds like Qualcomm's rumored MSM8974 chipset, a part of the Prime lineup, but the clock sounds a bit too high for our liking.
The new flagship also deserves a new screen as well and all rumors point out to LG's newly developed 1080p screen. The main camera will most likely end up with 13MP or even higher sensor since Optimus G already packs a similar camera. The Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS is the last piece of rumor puzzle.
According to details, the Optimus G2 is scheduled for next year and LG is apparently aiming at a Q3 time frame.
