The launch, held at its flashy Gangnam-style store, saw Samsung sing about 61 models across 14 different ranges, including QLEDs, Neo QLEDs (both 4K and 8K), and 4K OLEDs — all equipped with artificial intelligence gimmickry.
Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business Division President Yong Seok-woo said, “We will open a world of new experiences that were previously impossible with existing screens.” Samsung’s Vision AI is to serve as a companion that makes users’ daily lives easier and more convenient. We will open up a world of new experiences that were previously impossible with existing screens, going beyond consumers’ expectations. “
Among the headliners is the massive QNF990 Neo QLED 8K, stretching up to 98 inches and costing a wallet-crunching KRW 47.46 million. For the more budget-conscious, the Crystal UHD UF8000 4K TV starts at KRW 840,000 for the 43-inch model. The S90F OLED telly spans a modest 43 inches to a mammoth 83 inches, while the Neo QLED line now includes ludicrously sized 100-inch and 115-inch panels.
One key addition this year is the so-called Moving Style stand, which works across Samsung’s UHD, QLED, Neo QLED, and OLED offerings . There's also The Frame Pro, designed for the aesthetes with interchangeable bezels, and the new Wireless One Connect Box for cleaner installations.
AI gimmicks are predictably abundant. The TVs feature an AI Assistant for real-time subtitle translation and actor recognition, an AI Home for controlling smart gadgets and identifying crying babies, and AI Viewing Optimisation to upscale grandma’s VHS rips into faux 4K glory. There's even AI HDR Remastering Pro and Colour Booster Pro for slapping a bit of gloss on dull content.
Samsung’s soundbar range also got a refresh. The HW-QS700F, its first convertible model, adapts its performance based on how it's plonked down thanks to a built-in gyro sensor. The bundled subwoofer is 57 per cent smaller this year but just as beefy.
Previously confined to Lifestyle tellies, the Art Store app has been expanded to include QLED and Neo QLED models. Glare-free tech — once exclusive to flagship OLEDs — has trickled down to some of the Neo QLED 4K and 8K models, such as the QNF90 and QNF95.
Samsung is now offering seven major Tizen OS updates across this fleet, giving the Software King of the World a bit of competition in the longevity stakes.
