Nvidia brings back the Verified Priority Access program

by on20 February 2025

Might be the only way to snag RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Founders Edition cards

Nvidia has decided to bring back its Verified Priority Access (VPA) program, which allows verified users to purchase the GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition and GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition directly from the Nvidia Marketplace at MSRP.

The program was launched this week, and selected customers will be notified via email sometime next week. They will then have the opportunity to purchase the graphics cards. The Verified Priority Access program is currently only available to U.S. customers, with purchases made directly through Nvidia's official Marketplace. In order to be a part of the VPA, you'll need to be registered with Nvidia forums and have an Nvidia Account created before January 30, 2025.

The Nvidia Verified Priority Access (VPA) program might be the only way to snag these two graphics cards at MSRP and without paying extra to scalpers or retailers/e-tailers.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell how many of these cards Nvidia has in stock or how many will be sold. It is also unclear if Nvidia will extend this program to upcoming products, like the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti FE.

In case you missed it, the Nvidia VPA program was also available for the GeForce RTX 4090 and later expanded to include the RTX 4080 and some AIB products.

We know it’s challenging to purchase a GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card. Today we’re introducing Verified Priority Access for the GeForce RTX 50 Series. It will give a limited number of verified GeForce gamers & creators in the United States the opportunity to purchase one GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card from the NVIDIA Marketplace.

Users who have an NVIDIA Account created on or before January 30th, 2025 at 6AM Pacific Time can submit their interest for Verified Priority Access through this form.
