Spotted and leaked by XFastest.com, the thin Galax GTX 1070 will be based on a custom PCB and a slim blower-style cooler that extends off the edge of the PCB in order to squeeze in a slim fan. While the PCB is quite similar to the GTX 1060, it has all the markings of the GTX 1070, including two SLI connectors.
It is also expected that Galax will be sticking to Nvidia reference clocks of 1506MHz GPU base and 1683MHz GPU Boost and it will come with a single HDMI 2.0, single DisplayPort and DVI-D outputs.
There is definitely a market for such graphics cards as small and thin PC cases have become quite popular lately, especially when building an HTPC or a living room gaming PC and there aren't a lot of choices when it comes to high-end GPUs. The market is limited to single-slot RX 460 or low-profile dual-slot GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards.
Unfortunately, there are still no precise details of when the new slim Galax GTX 1070 will be available or will it actually be available in Europe or the US, or just limited to China.
