Apple fans turn to kickstarter

We need innovation

Apple fanboys are getting so desperate for the fruity cargo cult to invent something new for their Macs they are developing interesting stuff on kickstarter.

Jobs’ Mob has not really upgraded its PC range for years on the assumption that users will not notice. So to make up for that, fanboys are developing projects which will fix the shortfalls in Apple’s ancient tech so that it can run the AI technology which Apple claims to be a market leader.

Kickstarter, which is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects, got a fully-funded campaign that is offering a choice of two external GPUs for "MacBook Pros." If the project takes off it will finally give the "MacBook Pro" up to ten times the performance of the top-end built-in version.

According to Nine to Five Mac The add on will be connected through a Thunderbolt 2 or 3 and will give the use an NVidia GTX 970 GPU for a price of $599. Of course they will have to wait until March 2017.

The GTX 970 features 1664 cores that runs at 1050MHz, for a peak computing power of 3.49 teraflops, the GPU renders at speed almost ten times faster compared to a maxed-out 15-inch "MacBook Pro" with AMD R9 M370X GPU. Frame rates of the GTX 970 GPU exceed 70 frames per second, in which it enables a device suitable for high-end gaming and virtual reality (VR) applications.

A standard model will use an Nvidia GTX 950 GPU, offering 768 cores that run at 1024 MHz for a peak computing power of 1.57 teraflops.

You get 50 frames per second (FPS) and renders the speeds four-times faster compared to a top-end 15-inch MBP for a price of $449.

The last option is a $269 DIY box that allows the consumer to use their own GPU. All three boxes will provide a person three DisplayPort 1.3 outputs and one HDMI.
