We already wrote about the GTX 550 Ti and now VR-Zone managed to get more details regarding including the performance, some specs as well as the release date. As it was written earlier, the GTX 550 Ti will be based on the 40nm GF116 GPU paired up with the 128-bit memory interface and 1GB of GDDR5 memory.
The GTX 550 Ti and the GF116 are apparently pin-to-pin compatible with the GF106 (the one behind the GTS 450) and thus should be paired up with a similar PCB to the one seen on the GTS 450. It should come with 3+1 phase power design and a TDP of 110W, pretty much the same as on the GTS 450 (106W). The good part is that it will boast much higher performance and the first estimates say you should expect it to be about 35 percent faster than ATI Radeon HD 5770 card.
Precise clocks are still unknown but VR-Zone did mention that an estimated price should be around US $200 mark, pretty close to the GTX 460.
