The limited edition model will be sold in restricted quantities, with stock allocated proportionally across all regions. Customers will be limited to one unit per account, and once inventory runs out, Valve has confirmed that it will not produce more of this specific design. Aside from the color, the white edition mirrors the specifications of the standard black 1TB Steam Deck OLED. According to Valve, it will also come with an exclusive white carrying case and a white microfiber cleaning cloth.
The updated Steam Deck OLED, first announced in November 2023, replaced the original model's 7-inch LCD screen with a new 7.4-inch OLED display, offering brighter colors and deeper blacks. The updated version also features HDR support, improved battery life, Wi-Fi 6E, enhanced thermals, and a larger fan. Additionally, it is 30 grams lighter than the original Steam Deck.
The key difference between the white and black versions is the price. The standard Steam Deck OLED 1TB costs $649 / £569, while the limited edition model will retail for $679 / £599, a $30 / £30 premium.
