According to the release notes, the latest Steam Deck 3.4.6 OS update includes Mesa 23.1 graphics driver update, adds support for Vulkan ray tracing in Doom Eternal game, and fixes several issues, including the focus issue with Forza Horizon 5, and graphical corruption issues in both Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Resident Evil 4. The support for Doom Eternal Vulkan API ray tracing was already available with the Steam Deck OS 3.4.6 beta update, and it looked pretty impressive, adding some reflections. The game still runs pretty well, at playable framerates, with medium-quality settings.
Valve has been pushing stable updates to Steam Deck OS on an almost monthly basis, fixing issues and bringing new features, so hopefully, we will see a proper DXR ray tracing implementation soon as the RDNA 2 GPU certainly supports it. Of course, do not expect much from it but adding some reflections, shadows, and eye candy to some games is certainly a nice touch.
