Intel and AMD have both announced the creation of an x86 ecosystem advisory group, which is meant to bring together technology leaders behind this computing architecture and focus on "identifying new ways to expand the x86 ecosystem by enabling compatibility across platforms, simplifying software development, and providing developers with a platform to identify architectural needs and features to create innovative and scalable solutions for the future."

Five SKUs, all available for pre-order

Intel has officially launched the new Core Ultra 200S "Arrow Lake" desktop CPUs, with five SKUs that are now available for pre-order and will ship out on October 24th. The new Arrow Lake architecture brings Lion Cove P-cores, Skymont E-cores, Xe-LPG GPU, and NPU3, all neatly stacked in tiles. In addition, Intel's Z890 motherboards are also launched and these are available as well.
