SanDisk has been discussing its roadmap to build an UltraQLC-based 1PB solid-state drives (SSDs) and discussed the challenges of developing 3D DRAM during its Investor Day event.

Didn’t live up to the marketing

Western Digital has been sued by a California resident who claims the solid state drive he bought from the manufacturer was defective and that the storage slinger shipped kit that didn't live up to its marketing promises.

Extreme-series portable SSDs wipe data and become unmountable

The tech press is getting considerably tetchy as SanDisk refuses to comment on the fact its Extreme range portable SSD’s wipe data and become unmountable.

Largest microSD card  on the market

SanDisk has managed to cram 400GB into a microSD card, making it the largest microSD card on the market.

Still no precise performance details

Sandisk has further pushed  SD card storage limits by announcing its new and the world's largest capacity SD card, the new Sandisk Extreme Pro 1TB.
